BeerHeadZ’ fifth bar opens today! Located on King Street in Melton Mowbray’s oldest secular building (parts of which date back to 1330), BeerHeadZ have created a beer haven for the discerning drinkers of Melton. Featuring beers from draught, craft, bottle and can, we hope to offer something for everyone. Confused by the choice? Never fear! Our enthusiastic team are on had to help you decide what to try. Steampunk @ BHZ – Calling all Steampunks!
FREE Steampunk BeerZ @ BeerHeadZ BeerHeadZ Lincoln has commissioned Cheeky Imp brewery to brew us three truly EXCLUSIVE beers to celebrate the Asylum Steampunk Festival in Lincoln next month. They will be available only at BeerHeadZ over the weekend, 24th-27th August. Newark Steampunk aficionado Jay (Von Duran) Doran will be crafting special leather pump clips to showcase the beers on the bar, so big hoorahs to him! Also thanks to John Carcass of Cheeky Imp for rising to the challenge of creating these most excellent beers just for us and to Lincoln Steampunk Adie Trevelyan (aka Dr. Porridge) for getting involved in this project. We have applied this week for a premises license for our first city venue, which will be in Nottingham. If all the permissions are approved, we hope to be trading by late June/early July. Stay posted for more details as we have them. Meanwhile… Can you guess where it is yet?
BeerHeadZ got talent – Pt.2
Well, we’re not sure about pretty faces in this instance, but BeerHeadZ certainly have talent! Here’s landlord Phil with his Heavy Metal band Paralex, who have released their first ever rock video! The track is from the band’s new album ‘Key to a Thousand Doors’, released on the No Remorse label. Watch the video, bang your head, then get down BeerHeadZ to quench that thirst. BeerHeadZ got talent – Pt.1
Well, we ain’t just a bunch of pretty faces serving great beer, but the BeerHeadZ team have got talent too! Our newest recruit at BeerHeadZ Grantham, Samantha-Elyse, has just attained a 2.1 in her animation degree with her film ‘How the Bat Became Nocturnal’. Well, it was a long old slog (we put the planning application in on June 6th last year), but we finally opened the doors to BeerHeadZ second microbar in Grantham at 4pm yesterday. But the timing didn’t deter the customers, who were piling through the door 15 minutes early to grab a pint! The first beers on the bar were: Baker’s Dozen – Jentacular 3.5% Cwrw Iâl – Limestone Cowboy 4.5% Blue Bee – Tempest Stout 4.8% Bad Seed – Salted Smoked Maple 4.3% Vocation – Pride & Joy 5.3% All were received well, with the Vocation and Baker’s Dozen just winning the popularity vote.
