BeerHeadZ Nottingham took a step closer to opening today by acquiring its premises license to sell alcohol. The license application received just one representation so had to go to hearing at Loxley House, Nottingham (coincidently also next to the Railway Station). BeerHeadZ’ corner was championed by our friends from Nottingham CAMRA and East Midland Trains, but inexplicably the person who made the representation couldn’t even be bothered to turn up to argue his case. Ultimately, the hearing committee took about two minutes to consider the case and grant the license, wishing us luck in our venture. Plans can now go full steam ahead (forgive the pun) and we’ll keep you posted along the journey. Toot toooooot!!
All systems go!
YAY! We have been granted a premises license and building work started yesterday. The picture shows Dave digging the first divot! It’s a tight schedule, but we’re confident that we can be open in time for the Retford Beer Festival, which starts on October 23rd.
